    Wine & Design

At the end of the Spring season, I make a list of things I want to do during the summer. This summer, my list consists of different places I want to see and different things I want to try. I had never attended a Wine & Design event before and figured this would be the perfect chance for me to do so with a couple of my friends. If any of you are unfamiliar with Wine & Design, it’s a paint and sip franchise. You sip wine and paint. After signing up for a spot in the class, I was a bit hesitant to go. I’m not an artist by any means nor…

    Happy Monday!!!

MANTRA: “I AM NOT MY HAIR.” For the longest time, I had been consumed by my hair. I felt like my hair made me who I was. I love my hair because of its texture. My curls have always been tight and beautiful. Throughout my entire life, I’ve gotten compliments on it and people have often told me that they wish they had my hair. My hair is extremely fine so it makes it easier to do and manage. A few months ago, I got a severe amount of heat damage. I had no idea what to do with myself. A lot of people suggested cutting it off and starting…

    4 Ways to Stay Disciplined!

Lately I’ve noticed that a lot of my disappointments are from goals not being met or things not being accomplished. I find that I am my own enemy at times. There are projects that I’ve wanted done, weight I’ve wanted gone, and numerous other tasks that are merely started. After taking a moment to allow myself to be a victim, I really sat and pondered on why the things I want most I have barely achieved. It all boiled down to one word, DISCIPLINE! I have little to no self discipline. So my goal for the next few months is to strengthen myself in that area. Here’s how:   Plan…

    M3: Mind, Meditation & Movement

As you guys know, I’ve been going through somewhat of a self discovery stage at this point in my life. I’ve been trying new things so that I can truly figure out what I like and want out of life. I came across a workshop on Eventbrite called M3: Mind, Meditation & Movement. The purpose of the event was to discover the power of different breathing techniques and to try guided mediation. I decided to give it a shot because I’ve been looking for ways to clear my mind of negativity so that I can focus on the positives. Going into the workshop, I had no idea what to expect,…

    Happy Monday!!!

MANTRA: “My potential is UNLIMITED.” It’s important to never limit yourself because you think you can’t do something. The sky’s the limit! There’s nothing in this world that can stop you from being great and being successful. You have the power to do anything you want. Put in the work and let go of all negative thoughts and you’ll be amazed at what you will achieve. Your potential is UNLIMITED! You may have people in your life telling you that you can’t do this or you can’t do that. Don’t listen to them. Affirm each day, my potential is unlimited and remember that where you are now is not your final destination. MONEY: THRIFT!…

5 Ways To Add More Peace Into Your Life!

Achieving peace has been a struggle for me in the past. I have always allowed exterior issues to create internal stress. I would commit myself to too much, hold on to people who meant me no good, surf the web and compare my life to what i’d see on social media. None of these things contributed to a peaceful life for me. So, I cut it out! I created a plan that I would stick to in order to develop positive habits and maintain my much needed inner peace. I decided to do the following: Disconnect Sometimes you just have to shut off your phone, get off of your computer…

    Happy Monday!!!

MANTRA: “I am Healthy.” This has been my mantra for the past month or so. I was dealing with a few health issues and realized that I focus on so many things and tend to place my health on the back burner. I don’t eat horribly and I’m not completely inactive, but I realized that I did not give the health of my body the true attention it needed. Sad enough, I realized that once it started back firing and made me pay attention. Mantra’s are to keep your mindset positive and focused on the things you want. The more you say them, the more you start to believe them…
