Welcome back to Featured Fave!! Today, we are excited to introduce an awesome man of God by the name of Kofi. He is a man of action and truth. Kofi is probably one of the most Godly men I’ve ever met. His heart and intentions have always been pure. He is that friend that prays for you and has your back through whatever. I admire Kofi because of his dedication and passion for spreading the word of God and bringing people closer to his kingdom. Kofi is a blogger and the creator of Inner Court Magazine.
How long have you been doing this?
Kofi H: I have been a blogger, albeit inconsistently, for a few years. Maybe like 4 or 5. It wasn’t until last year when I became more consistent with my posts. I actually have to give credit to a friend of mine, named Stanley, convinced me to create a website for a blog and my YouTube videos. He said that it’ll be a central location for people to stay in touch with me in the case that Twitter ever goes down. It sounded like a great idea, so I said why not. So, Kofimagne.com was born.
Kofi H: As for Inner Court Magazine (ICMag), that was born a bit earlier this year around the time I was updating my personal site. God gave me the unction to do something special with some others so I reached out to them. They were on board and we hit the ground running. We launched our first issue on April 5, 2018 and post every other Thursday. I am really excited about the potential of the magazine. I am “geeking out” just thinking about it.
Where do you see yourself going with this?
Kofi H: With my personal blog, I am not sure. I will still have it so people can get insight into what I am doing and continue to do what I had been doing on Twitter — teaching the gospel in hopes of helping others develop a deeper relationship with Christ.
Kofi H: As for iCMag, I have such a grand vision. I see us being a great place for Millennial Christians to get their news and encouragement on a wide range of topics. Our future update of our site will reflect this because we will break down our sections. For example, “Go Beyond the Veil” is our tagline or motto. So, our teaching section will be “Beyond the Veil.” In addition to that, we will have other topics such as Fashion, Beauty, and my personal favorite “The Christian Geek” which will be where all of the pop culture stuff will be. I also have some other plans that I can’t reveal just yet. Just know that I am always dreaming big.
What is your inspiration?
Kofi H: I can’t pinpoint one particular person that is an inspiration to me as I find myself inspired by many things and people. As cliché as this may sound, Jesus Christ is my first inspiration. His Spirit inspires me a lot. In addition to that, I look around at the many people in my life that have very admirable qualities and draw inspiration from them.
Who is your role model?
Kofi H: Aside from Christ, I will say Paul. I loved how he thought. He was a great thinker and philosopher. I know many people don’t like to say that he was a philosopher, but he was.
What inspired your featured piece?
Kofi H: My featured piece was inspired by my belief in God blessing the works of our hands. For a long time I used to wait around for God to do things, but lately it really started to click that God will bless us abundantly when we work. So, instead of me decreeing and declaring things are mine, I decided to work for the things I want and ask The Lord to bless the work of my hands. I know it may be contrary to what a lot of us are taught regarding prosperity, but I think I make a pretty compelling case in my blog post about it. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
