    Happy Monday!!!

MANTRA: “I’m only going to say what I want to put it into the universe.” There is power in the tongue. Proverbs 15:4 says that the tongue can be “A TREE OF LIFE.” If you want something, speak it into the universe. What you put out, you attract. If you’re speaking positively, you’ll attract positive energy and if you’re speaking negatively, you’ll attract that same energy as well. Speak positivity into your relationships, families, careers, whatever you want. I personally have been struggling with this lately which is why I felt like this was a great mantra to share with others that may be going through the same thing. I’ve been…

    Becoming a Woman

Lately, I’ve been going through a lot of changes. Not so much my body, but more so a change in the things I enjoy and what I want out of life. I’ve noticed small changes within myself like the colors I like, the food I eat and even my interests. I feel like i’m evolving into a grown woman. These feelings have led me to a lot of reflecting with not only myself, but the ones around me. I’ve realized that my feelings toward certain friendships and relationships aren’t as they were before. For once in my life, i’m genuinely not bothered by the thought of losing a friendship. I’ve grown content with the…

6 Months to Healthy Hair Challenge!

Healthy hair is something we all want to have. Since about July of last year, I have been a jerk to my hair. I cut it, dyed it and fried it. Literally. My hair was about mid back length in the beginning of summer 2017. I wasn’t taking care of my hair at all. I straightened my hair multiple times to find the perfect style for my wedding day and did damage when I straightened it for my brother’s wedding. Since I am ready to take charge and regain a healthy head of hair, I will be on a healthy hair challenge for the next 6 months. Here are the…

    Happy Monday!!!

MANTRA: “Don’t give up. Normally it is the last key on the ring which opens the door.” It is important to keep pushing even when it feels like your desires are impossible to achieve. You have to keep trying, and believing that whatever you want will come. There is no room for negativity. You must accept the struggles in the beginning and remember that it will get better, but only if you keep going. Pick yourself up and hold your head high with dignity. Once you find the right key, you can open the right door and whats behind that door is bigger and better than anything you could ever…

    Happy Monday!!!

MANTRA: “I can be whoever I want to be.” You are who you say you are and not one person can take that away from you. We tend to get caught up in what others think of us, what our zodiac sign says, who our family wants us to be and take all of those characteristics on as our own. We are authentic in every way. It’s hard for us to see that  when we cloud our perception of who we are with the thoughts of others. I encourage you to live and be exactly who you want to be this week and forever more. Be you, be the person…

    I’m Back & I’m Betta

Its been forever since I wrote a post, but I’m back! Breaks are good for the soul, especially when you are going through changes. I wanted to do my social media break for just a week, it ended up being about two. I’m proud I did it so long. I went on the break initially because we went on a cruise for our honeymoon and we couldn’t use our phones. Well, they had Wi-Fi on the cruise but who was paying that? This allowed us to be in the moment together, it was beautiful. We actually relaxed and enjoyed each other on our honeymoon. I’ve realized that I was addicted…

    Happy Monday!!!

MANTRA: “Life Goes On.” Everyone has things going on in their lives, but that doesn’t stop life from going on. I think about this often because this past December my uncle died and it really shook me. I wasn’t OK for a while, but I had to push through because I still had class, homework, exams etc. It was rough because when things happen sometimes we lose ourselves and lose focus. From that experience alone, I know we can get through anything life throws at us. We just have to take it day by day. I still haven’t fully processed that he is gone, but positive things have happened since…

    Healthy Poppin’ Nails

Ever since high school I’ve been lowkey obsessed with nails. My twin sister’s nails have been my inspiration for years. Her nails are strong, long, and healthy. I’ve damaged and healed my nails multiple times. The damage I’ve encountered was from not properly taking off acrylic nails and getting acrylic nails in general. Getting nails back healthy isn’t a quick process and you have to make sure you take care of them after they’re back poppin’. I have some tips, from over the years, that help me get my nails back together and some tips for keeping them poppin’. Tips for poppin’ Nails It takes my nails about a full…

    Doc Taylor’s Restaurant

Happy Foody Friday, Pioneers! About two weeks ago, I went on a trip to Virginia Beach with my dad and boyfriend. We stayed in a hotel on the board walk so there was all types of food around us. When we arrived, we parked and walked past several different beach houses. There was one specifically that caught my eye. I remember seeing people standing in front of the house and saying to my boyfriend Brandon, “This house is adorable. I wonder what it’s like to live on the beach.” We continued to the hotel to check in and do some exploring. Breakfast: The next morning, Brandon looked up some local…
